SHAKALI by Sharon Musakali 

Outfits have a lot to do with one’s confidence.Most people attest to having bright days on occasions when they woretheir “Sunday best.” SHAKALI strives to construct outfits that suit clients’ body types bringing out their best looks. We ensure that custom-madeoutfits are as perfect to the clients’, tastes and preferences. The ready-towear have small details that make them adjustable and multi-purposehence fit for most clients.

SHAKALI is coined from the name of the founder Sharon Musakali a self-taught fashion designer. Having only done basics of Home-Science in O-levels at Starehe Girls, Sharon’s talents and skills were later manifested in her 3rd year of study at Kenyatta University while pursuing Bsc. Economics and Finance after she co-designed choreography outfits for her fellow salsa dancers during their salsa silver graduation ceremony. She started off with a small loaf-size sewing machine but later upgraded to an industrial. She enhanced her skills through practice and continuous research on Pinterest, YouTube, and Web-search. Using her skills, in 2018 for 4 months, she offered basic training to 15 trainees at Delight Africa Fashion School who later went on to start their own fashion businesses. She has also shared her expertise with trainees at Positive Life Kenya, Mlolongo. Having not been able to afford to learn in a Fashion and Design School, she aspires to own a SHAKALI state-of-the-art fashion and design school that will offer high-level fashion and design skills at affordable rates among them online classes.
